"The doping control was initiated and conducted by the International Testing Agency (ITA) 𓄧on behalf of the UCI.
"In accordance with the UCI Anti-Doping Rules, the rider has been provisionally suspenꦇded. He has the right to request the analysis of the B sample. The UCI will not comment any further while the proceedings are ongoing."
The Sabgal-Anicolor team announced it had terminated Tolhoek's c🐼ontract.

"It was only today that Clube Desportivo Full⛎racing was informed of the res🎃ult of this adverse control for the 2023 season. The club registered the athlete without being aware of this situation.
"Clube Desportivo Fullracing would like to clarify that this control was carried out on November 27, 2023, when the Dutch athlete b𓄧elonged to another team. Following this, the club has taken the decision to immediately terminate his contract and cancel all of the Dutch athlete's functions within the club from this moment on."
Former speed skater Tolhoek, who was set to represent his new🧔 team at the upcoming Volta ao Algarve, turned pro with the now-defunct Roompost team in 2016 after only taking up cycling two years earlier. He then raced for five years w♕ith Jumbo-Visma.
