However, Boom believes that his Rabobank team have a number of di𓆏fferent cards to play at the Tour of Qatar and he is confident that his squad will c♔ope well with the exposed roads and windy conditions that so often characterise the race.

"The other guys on the team rode pretty well too," he said. "[Maarten] Wynants made the top 10 too, and a lot of the other guys went well. I think tomorrow will bring a lot of wind so we will try to defend the jersey."
