RCS Sport has run the bulk of its slate of races since competition resumed in August, including Strade Bianche, Milan-San Remo, Il Lombardia and the ongoing Tirreno-Adriatico, and Vegni expressed optimism that the rescheduled Giro would also be able to go ahead. Speaking to RAI tel💧evision, Vegni noted that there may be restrictions on spectators at the Giro, adding that everything was contingent on the public health measures in place in Italy at that time.

“We’ll look to maintain a ‘bubble’ for teams, from start to finish. With many difficulties, I feel we’re going in the right direction,” Vegni said. “From here to October, the biggest worry is the evolution of health measures.&rd𓃲quo;
