José Angel Gomez Marcha🌱nte will lead Cervélo TestTeam in Vuelta a España, the team has announced toꦍday. Giro d'Italia stage winner Simon Gerrans is also on the team's long list of 11 riders for the Spanish three-week stage race.

"We a𒁏lready have two amazing Grand Tours behind us, with several stage wins and the green jersey of Thor Hushovd in the Tour of France," said team manager Thomas Cam🐬pana. "Our team is still very motivated and hungry to achieve the best results possible."

Cervélo's goals are to win a stage and help Gomez Marchante in the over♈all. He finished fifth in the 2005 edition.

Campana announced a list of 11 riders to form the eventual nine-man🧸 team.

German national champion Martin Reimer, 22, missed his chance to race. "I want to concentrate on the World Championships," he told the dpa news agency. He is eligible to ride either the U-23 or the elite men'🌸s race at the World Championships next month.

The 11 riders pre-selected for 💮the Vuelta, August 29 to September 20, are Spaniards Iñigo Cuesta, Xavier Florencio, Joaquin Novoa and José Angel Gomez Marchante, Ireland's Philip Deignan, Australia's Simon Gerrans, Brit Roger Hammond, Lithuanian Ignas Konovalovas, Norwegian Gabriel Rasch, Canadian Dominique Rollin and Swiss Marcel Wyss.
