"We just tried to use all our horsepower for the lead-out," Matthews said. "I was so happy to be able to pull off the win after such a great lead-out that the boys did for me. "There are lot of people excited to finally get𒉰 into some climbs 𓄧because Alberta, over the last few years, has been more of a sprinters' race. I think people are excited to have a race with some harder stages and they are excited to actually get into one of our great National Parks.

"I think it is going to be beautiful and something tha✱t a lot of the Europeans don't know what to expect, they'll have never seen anything like it because it's different than anything they would be used to. I think they will be awestruck over the next couple of days."
