“I think you never know when the perfect moment to attack is, because if it doesn’t work out, then it’s not the perfect moment,” Van der Breggen said. “But I knew I ඣfelt good and the plan was to try to make the race hard in the fourth lap. Van der Breggen’s Worlds double means that she will spend her final season as a professional rider in the rainbow jersey, and the 30-year-old reiterated that her remarkable run of form will not persuade her to prolong her career into 2022 or beyond.
