The 24th edition of the Commonwealth Games will take place on the Gold Coast Australia and once again features three disciplines of cycli🐬ng: Road, Track and Mountain bike. The Anna Meares Velodrome hosts the track events in Chandle꧅r, while the mountain bike events take place in Nerang.

The road race and time trial events start and finish at Currumbin Beachfront, taking in the hinterlands of the Gold Coa𝔍st.

The home Australian team has announced a strong squad with h💝igh ambitions across all three disciplines. On the track, the ꧋likes of Cameron Meyer, Matthew Glaetzer and Stephanie Morton lead the charge for Australia. On the road, Chloe Hosking, national champions Shannon Malseed and Alexander Edmondson and Steele von Hoff lead the line.

While the clash with the European classics, and injury for Mark Cavendish, has resulted in a number of🅰 high profile Commonwealth riders skipping the event, a high level of competition is still expected across the disciplines.In 2014, A🅠ustralia led the medal tally with seven gold and 29 in total and will be aiming to again dominate.

Of🌃 the road race and time trial gold medallists from Glasgow, women's time trial winner 🐲Linda Villumsen (New Zealand) is the only rider to defend their title on the Gold Coast.

The trac🌳k events will open the cycling programme from 5-൩8 April, followed by the 10 April time trials, the mountain bike two day's later and concludes with the 14 April road races.
