Stage 2 - Mara Roldan wins with 14km solo attack
168澳擲5ęę°å¼å„ē»ę:Mara Roldan (Picnic-PostNL) took her first pro victory on stage 2 of the Tour of Britain Women, soloing to the finish in Saltburn-on-the-Sea after an attack on the hill at Marske Lane with 14km to go. 168澳擲5ęę°å¼å„ē»ę:Riejanne Markus (Lidl-Trek) went after Roldan but never made contact and finishšed runnerš -up 12 seconds later. A further six seconds down, Ally Wollaston (FDJ-Suez) led home the next group on the road. Kristen Faulkner (EF Education-Oatly) has taken the overall race lead heading into stage 3.

Kim Le Court (AG Insurance-Soudal) outpowered fellow breakaway Kristen Faulkner to capture the opening stage and leaād of ꦫthe Tour of Britain Women. The two attacked on the second climb of the day, Langburn's Bank and came home five seconds ahead of the bunch, where Lorena Wiebes (SDWorx-Protime) claimed third.

Tour of Britain Women results

The Tour of Britain Women will return as a four-day race, held from June 5 to 8, 2025. The new route will take the peloton from north east of England, starting at the Dalby Forest išøn the heart of the North York Moors National Park, and conclude in Scotland with a finale in Glasgow.
Tour of Britain Women Overview
British Cycling took over the newly named Tour of Britain Women in 2024. The organisation will once again host the four-day race, whichš will take place in northeast Englandź¦ and Scotland from June 5 to 8, 2025.
SweetSpot, the former organisꦔers of what was 'The Women's Tour' entered liquidation after financial difficulty and a trail of debtsš in January 2024. Although it was initially unclear whether the event would be held in 2024, it was later confirmed under the organisation of British Cycling, but has been reduced from six days to four.
The Women's Tour began in 2014 and has been part of the Women's WorldTour since 2016. However, the event was 168澳擲5ęę°å¼å„ē»ę:cancelled in 2020 and168澳擲5ęę°å¼å„ē»ę: postponed until later in the year in 2021.
The race held all six stages in 2022, but the ą²168澳擲5ęę°å¼å„ē»ę:Women's Tour&nšbsp;was cancelled in 2023 ādue to increased running costs and a lack of sponsorship.

Tour of Britain Women History
Since its inception in 2014, the race has been won by Marianne Vos (2014), Lisa Brennauer (2015), Lizzie Deignan (2016, 2019), Kasia Niewiadoma (2017), Coryn Labecki (2018) and Demi Vollering (2021) and Elisa Longź¦o Borgini in 2022. The race was cancelled in 2023.
Lotte Kopecky won the newly-named 2024 Tour of Britain Womeš¼n with a 17-second gap on Anna Henderson (Greatš Britain), and her SD Worx-ProTime teammate Christine Majerus took tš·hird overall.
Tour of Britain Women 2025 stages
British Cycling announced the full route detaiš¹ls for the four-day race, which will head to Scotland for the first time.
The 2025 edition willš¦ take place in the north east of England and Scotland. The opening two stages will take in Dalby Forest, the North York Moors National Park, and the Tees Valley.
Then, the race will head to the south of Scotland for a š¦leg in the Scottish Borders, ahead of the final stage on a city centre circuit in Glasgow.
